Born in Middletown,
Connecticut, I fell in love with art at an early age and excelled. I began exhibiting my paintings in high school and won two National Scholastic Art Award when I was 16.
After moving to Los Angeles, I attended Otis Art Institute, then decided to try the Hawaiian life. There, I attended the University of Hawaii and the Honolulu Art Academy. Upon my return to California 16 years later I earned my degree from the Academy of Art University in San Francisco.
I've won several art awards regionally and nationally throughout my career and am represented in galleries in Southern California and Connecticut.
I am a realist oil painter who paints abstractly. My painting journey is through abstract areas of
color, shapes and contrast, and when completed and taken as a whole surprises me by becoming realistic. Everyday subjects interest me the most. I try to capture glimpses of daily experiences that tell a story and try to create a mood or feeling the viewer can experience and relate to.
